Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Sax earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Neuroscience from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. From there, he went on to receive his doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, completing his residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital of New York in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Sax is board certified and academically active, having contributed to multiple publications in peer reviewed journals, online editorials, and nationally recognized poster symposiums. He has contributed to textbook chapters on subjects including bunion surgery and onychomycosis (nail fungus), and has special interests in minimally invasive techniques and sports medicine.
Having volunteered on the medical teams of multiple marathons and an avid runner himself, Dr. Sax knows the difficulties that athletes face and their desire to return to activity. By developing individualized treatment plans, Dr. Sax enables his patients to meet their goals and reach the best possible outcome.
When not treating patients, Dr. Sax enjoys exploring New England with his wife and three daughters.
